Debbie Monterrey Birthday Challenge

You know her best as the host of Total Information AM and KMOX Overtime on St. Louis’ legendary radio station, 1120 AM. Well in light of her birthday, Debbie Monterrey wants to put you up to a challenge that will benefit the children of the St. Louis region. When you make a pledge to Fathers Support Center for the Debbie Monterrey Birthday Challenge, you’ll be brightening the futures of St. Louis children through responsible parenting. The first 50 people who pledge $35 or more, you have the opportunity to attend the Rise Up For Fathers Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the St. Louis-Hilton Frontenac. Giving Fathers’ Support Center a $2,000 goal for the challenge.

For nearly 20 years, Fathers’ Support Center has reached more than 14,000 men and made a difference for more than 35,000 children. All of this through the Family Formation Program that teaches men parenting skills, health and financial literacy, employment training and readiness, and also provides legal services and family therapy assistance. The program also offers Parenting in Partnershipa mothers’ project for parents to work cohesively — despite their personal relationship. A Youth Leadership & Development Program is also provided for young men and women, ages 14-24, looking to move forward with their education after high school, receive the job skills and training they need to enter the workforce, and various approaches to strengthen their communities.
