Black Girls Who Rock St. Louis Awards Celebration honors outstanding women in the St. Louis Metropolitan area who have made a significant contribution to her community or in her field of endeavor. One hundred trailblazing women will be selected to receive the 2023 Black Girls Who Rock Award.
The awards ceremony was held Sunday, December 10th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Plaza Motors Mercedes and hosted by The R. Whittington Foundation National Council of Negro Women Inc., St. Louis Section and Divine Daughters. This was the first event of its kind to be hosted in the St. Louis area. The grand celebration brought women from all walks of life together in the name of love, peace, and joy … just in time for the holidays.
In April 2020, FFSC was nominated for the LaunchCode Moonshot Award for “Challenging Convention” by LaunchCode. Finalists to be announced by end of June 2020.

In March 2020, Halbert Sullivan was honored by Washington University and received the 2020 Gerry and Bob Virgil Ethic of Service Award.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, Halbert Sullivan was honored by the Epsilon Lambda Chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and recognized with the Community Engagement award and Citizen of the Year award.

On Saturday June 15, 2019, Halbert Sullivan received the James L. Usher Community Service Award and a $10K gift from Sigma Pi Phi of Eta Boule to further FFSC’s Mission.
