Ladue News Covers 10th Annual Pull For Fathers

The 10th Annual Pull for Fathers was a complete success – from the turnout and weather to meeting fundraising goals. Held at the Strathalbyn Farms Club in Weldon Spring, the sold-out event treated guests to a lively sporting clay tournament, cocktails, the club’s famous fried chicken dinner, awards and an auction. Proceeds support the Fathers & Families Support Center and its nationally recognized Family Formation Program, a six-week course offering parenting and co-parenting education, employment and legal assistance, wellness instruction and more. This year’s event raised $120,000 – and plans are already underway to grow even bigger next year.

“First and foremost, the Fathers Support Center just does work that no one else is doing. They are bringing fathers into their children’s lives where those fathers weren’t there before, and they’re doing this with a regimented program. They’re teaching skills that these young men didn’t know they didn’t have, [like] skills in terms of parenting relationships – you name it. The fact that they’ve reunited or united 22,000 young men with their children over the last 27 years absolutely speaks for itself.” – Event chair and formerly of Edward Jones, Rodney Bahr
