Employment Development & Mentoring
Employment/Mentoring is available to participants enrolled in our programs or those who have attended at least six Father’s Rap sessions. Areas of focus include job readiness, job retention skills, and job placement.
Program Information
Employment turns possibilities into reality, enabling fathers and mothers to develop the financial means to take an active role in the lives of their children and to become participating members of the community. FFSC’s Employment Development & Mentoring Program (EDMP) is one of our core programs and achieves outstanding results for participants and their families.
Topics for FFSC’s Employment Development & Mentoring Program (EDMP) include communication strategies for on the job success, job-readiness skills and personal financial management. Career Advisors help participants identify areas of career interest and pathways to in-demand jobs, including resources for certifications that lead to job placement. Activities include: Job skills assessment, resume development, mock interviews, on-site career fairs and access to (free) business suits/attire for interviews, employment referrals and job placement.
