The Sister Loretto Society honors past and present contributors who have helped maintain the Endowment Fund of Fathers & Families Support Center (FFSC). Sister Loretto was involved in the mission of FFSC at its founding and for many years thereafter. Her tenacity and prayerful dedication to the organization and those it served helped build FFSC into the vital non-profit organization that it is. Members of the society named in her honor help ensure that the essential day-to-day work gets done. All gifts to the endowment fund, either gifted today or as a planned gift qualify for membership in the society.

Leaving a meaningful legacy makes a lasting impact on our community for generations to come. A planned gift provides crucial resources that allow us to advance our work in numerous ways including:

  • Maintaining and modifying the physical structure of FFSC locations, preserving and expanding the geographical reach of the services FFSC provides;
  • Planning for the future, making long-term investments to sustain and grow future programs;
  • Supporting general operations, funding essential aspects of FFSC’s operations; and
  • Enhancing flexibility and sustainability and providing a long-term financial safety net for FFSC.

Planned Giving is making a gift now to be received by FFSC at a future date. It can be a gift of cash, securities or real estate and allows donors to make a more significant contribution than during their lifetime.

One does not need to be wealthy to make a gift of lasting value. Also, planned gifts may provide tax advantages and other financial benefits for the donor and their heirs or beneficiaries. Bequests may be either restricted or unrestricted. Income from all gifts is directed by the Board of Trustees of the Endowment Fund.

There are several tax-advantaged ways to make a planned gift, including:

  • Bequests
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Life Insurance Gifts
  • Gifts of Real Estate or Other Property
